"If you want to live a happy life then attach yourself to a goal, not a person or an object" - Albert Einstein, wise words found in Parque México in the heart of La Condesa. While I 95% agree with this quote it sparked an interesting conversation amongst the group. Of course we must not define ourselves based on our relationships or depend on others for our happiness. We must first find happiness and love within ourselves. However, the power of community is incredible and it's in our human nature to seek out companionship and support. Does making our goals the center of our lives lead to a society that focuses too much on the individual and not enough on humanity, empathy, compassion, friendship and love? Thoughts!!!!???
