Hiiiii, we're back! Sorry for the radio silence, sometimes we all need a technology break. Here's our obligatory airport pacha pose- if you see a sticker of a jaguar on the 'a' that's us. Palma Airport has some of the best soft play areas for kids by the gates btw- there's a great one by Gate A08....just ask if you can't find them, or usually your child can sniff them out like a hunting dog....lifesavers ✌🏻(Frieda has mastered the peace sign but for some reason when she tells people she's 2 she puts four fingers up? What's tha'bout?)
With the code in the link in our profile, you can take €1000 off a package to visit us in @mimosansebastian. (We're feeling a little generous after being named an FT1000 Fastest Growing Company in Europe).
Palma was named "Best city to live in the world" in 2015. You can imagine that the amount of tourist has tripled, at least. And with tourists comes traffic, not-possible-with-my-salary rents and among many other things, trash, a lot of trash.
Don't get me wrong, I come from the tourism industry, I have a job because of it, but I also know that humans are selfish and irresponsible, and the governments care about the money, not about the survival of our planet.
Our oceans are filled with trash, our beaches are filled with trash, our cities our filled with trash. And instead of trying harder to teach people how to reduce their trash and to be sustainable travelers, let's just build new hotels and new parking lots, in places we don't even have but we'll also build them, so more tourist (and more trash) are welcome to our beautiful and pristine (?) beaches 🤷🏻♀️😑 #wednesdaythoughts
