I had the privilege of addressing these gorgeous envelopes with more traditional calligraphy style. My client got this wedding stationery set all the way from Amalfi on their trip there and the print is a traditional Florentine design of the Renaissance. Did you know that Amalfi began producing paper in the first half of the 12th century, making it one of the earliest locations where paper is produced in Western Europe!
Today we celebrate 3 years of marriage! Woohoo! Here's what Aidan wrote about it:
I keep typing cliché things like "I can't believe we've been married so long!" and "Has it already been three full years?!" and "This is crazy!" but no, it's not really any of those things. This is normal. Waking up and going through life with you everyday feels exactly the way I dreamed it would. Sure; it's easy to be happy and appear in love when we're backpacking through Italy. But daily life with you is just the best part. Seeing an item on a restaurant menu and thinking "She'd love that! Minus the vegetables obviously" is so second nature to me now I don't even question it. Knowing a long day at work means picking up take out to lift our spirits isn't even something we need to discuss. I can't explain (honestly, I'm failing here) just what a good life I live with you every day. You still make me laugh and I love making you laugh; whether that's because I made a fool of myself via self-injury or spilling something or because I'm tickling you while screaming "You funky munky!" for the umpteenth time on a Saturday morning (after having taken the pup out, of course). Keeping the blinds closed tight and the fan on just to steal a few more minutes (okay, hours) of a lazy morning with you. Then going to Gage Park Diner on an overcast day; breakfast for you and a burger and fries for me (obvi). You are absolutely everything I could've hoped or prayed for and so much more Leanne. You see the weakest parts of me and usher me through them. You love Jesus and inspire me to be more like Him. You see my dreams and fuel the fire to chase them. Just look at how many are already true because of you! (Tuxedo typewriter, full-time photographer, NYC vacation, getting a Redbone Coonhound, backpacking Italy, owning a home, making blue-cheese burgers in the backyard in the summer.) And to think this is only the beginning.
I love you with all of my heart and hope you know it already. You are my soulmate and best friend. Thank you for choosing to spend your life with me, sitting patiently on the 500th step overlooking Positano, Italy so I can take "just one more photograph".
