For better or worse, but the most precious things in my life are not things at all. Can't wait for the next adventure #raccoontravels // Оглядываясь назад, самые ценные воспоминания для меня всегда оказывались о путешествиях. Уже не дождусь новых приключений #канада
I am dreaming up ideas for my friend's wedding. She wants greenery for table decor for the head table at her wedding, but doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. The first quote was $800 for all greens, no flowers for one table runner (yikes!). She mostly wants greenery, but a flower here or there would add a softer touch and a little pop of color, which would be great for photographs. If anyone knows of a great florist near Comox, BC, that can work with a budget, let me know! And if you have any ideas for a greenery inspired wedding table runner, I'd love to hear them!!
"Je suis sick of this shit!" Stranded on the intersection of "Umm, ok then?" and "I'm sorry, who are you again?" Like seriously. "Do you even lift, bro?" literally just walked by and asked me what time it is. And "What was the point of all this?" just asked me if I could watch their stuff while they went to the bathroom. #itsalongstory#youhadtobethere#gastown#vancouver#britishcolumbia
My mom adopted 4 rats so I figured I'd give you some fun facts about #rats and #pot .
"The main psychoactive ingredient in #marijuana makes lab rats lazy, according to University of #BritishColumbia researchers. (Lol typical)
The new research, published on Tuesday in the Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience, looked at the effects of both #THC – the drug’s main active ingredient – and the non-psychoactive compound #cannabidiol , or #CBD , on the male lab rats’ willingness to exert cognitive effort...
Rats usually preferred the harder, but more rewarding, task. But after being dosed with THC, the same rats picked the easier task.
CBD, which does not cause a high and is believed to have medicinal benefits such as relieving pain and the symptoms of epilepsy, had no impact on the rats’ cognitive behaviour. It also did not mitigate the cognitive impact of THC in the rats. "The THC did not make the rats less intelligent – just lazier", said the study’s lead author, Mason Silveira, a PhD candidate in psychology at the University of British Columbia." "It is theorized that [rats constant need to grind their #teeth down] is one of the main reasons they seem to like to chew on #cannabis plant stalks so much. The woody #stalk is another tool they can use for shaving down their rapidly growing teeth.
Rats reproduce at uncanny rates. They’re just as bad as rabbits in this respect. They won’t get out of hand just as long as you keep their environment the opposite of rat-friendly. That is, keeping the local #cat population high enough to deal with these pests is generally a good idea...While rats and #mice can be rather annoying, they generally won’t threaten the livelihood of your #crop . (Although it is very unsanitary, they poop a lot!) This is simply because they prefer lots of other foods over fresh greens. Additionally, many outdoor #marijuana#growers know there are carnivorous #birds in the local region where they are growing, meaning #hawks , #owls , and #eagles probably already do a good job of keeping the rat population in check."Via #ilovegrowingmarijuana
