Goals were set // Dreams were made. The Thai islands were where I started my whole "breaking the barriers" experience 4 years ago after dropping out of college, quitting my job and chasing the whisper in my heart urging me to seek out the ends of earth. 11 countries later it feels damn good to finish it off in full circle. Homebound in 7 days 💫 #breakingthebarriers#timetogrind#islandvibes

Oh my, we made it to the US, alhamdouliLlah. 🛬
This was one very crazy journey... It took us more than 48 hours to get from Cairo to Miami... 😵
This picture? I took it pacing the halls of Cairo International Airport at 2 am while pushing the stroller with our two little ones in it hoping they would finally sleep.
Nothing on this trip went according to plan: we had delays due to bad weather conditions, we had to stay over a night in Doha -which kind of felt like being back home and yet not quite: geographical schizophrenia all around!-. But on the other hand the kids really did great during all of it! 💞
I am one tired-tired mama, but the family memories and stories we will continue to tell make it worth it... 🌎
R is for Right little cutie! Can't wait to give my lil Niece a squidge! Moving to California was definitely the right choice for the Muklet clan - we all LOVE it here. But living overseas can be tough. Life doesn't stop whilst you're 5,500 miles away, but that's what me & my 🇺🇸boy knew we were signing up for when we started our Transatlantic union. Hopefully I'm gonna be heading back to Blightie in June, so I can smother this one with wet Auntie kisses, see the fam, and catch up with the Brit rabble! 🍾🍾🍾
I value these intimate moments with people...sitting at a small dinner table sipping chai tea, and being fed a beautifully simple yet delicious Indian breakfast. My plate gets refilled and I don't dare say I'm full because I cannot get enough of this treat...We chat about life, culture...learning about each other and the vastly different worlds we came from. Yet here we are, together in the same home, in the same city...same country. Friends sharing tea and a meal....This is what I love about expat life. #friendship#culture#happiness
