At the beginning of my journey I had no energy I was always tired and felt like I could not get up and do anything or I just wanted to sleep. I started out at 247 to 249 and my goal was to see 230's on the scale now I have ONE more pound to go before I reach my next goal and see the 220's. As some of you know it is very hard for a person that is overweight to be so open about their weight. I have overcome that embarrassment. With a lot of hard work and dedication I know I can get there. I have a great support system. I would like to thank all of you thus far. Knocked out back and now I'm going to attempt some cardio. I have a lot of progress that needs to be made this time around. Never speak absolutes but I'll never get this far off track again . Cardio is for the birds and because I wanted to eat good I'll be doing a lot of it this prep I'm sure of it 😂😂😂. One thing for certain is I won't be discouraged yet just anxious to come back better! I've never liked this quote, but today I need it to keep from being too hard on myself. Tonight just wasn't the best gym day. The norms for my gym time did not happen. I felt rushed, felt uncomfortable, and felt tired and weak. I got to the gym late after my softball game with the boys. That accounts for two of my issues tonight - feeling rushed and tired - possibly even all three as I was continually checking on them since the kids zone was closed. On top of that I had to adapt a large portion of my workout due to a sunburn across my shoulders that had a huge impact on my squats.**
STRENGTH: My workout consisted of 4x8 strict press from the floor with 155lbs followed by 7x5 squats with body weight on the bar - supposed to be back squats, but after the second set I switched to front squats due to the sunburn. I started with 205lbs on the back squats, but dropped it down for the front squats for 2 sets to 185lbs. For the last 2 sets of front squats I bumped it back up to 205lbs. This is definitely not heavy at all, but I am trying to make sure I focus on form and range of motion as I could feel that I was shortchanging myself on depth the last time I did squats.**
STAMINA: 800m the. 2x400m sprints with 30 second rest between each sprint. I wanted to do more sprints with a longer rest period, but due to my time constraints I felt like what I did was decent. I definitely had my heart rate up and had to really push myself to finish the last sprint at a desirable pace.**
