I'm walking 1.5mi (almost) every day. I bought a pair of XL shorts at old navy a month ago. I've lost 5lb since I was at the dr last month. The sky's the limit, I just have to keep pushing myself to get there. #sweetsummersybl
Having a busy weekend and being on the go can be a "diet" killer, believe me I get it. Buttt that's why I choose macros , clean eating and flexible dieting over a strict "diet". I've gotten really good at choosing the healthier option even if I have no food prepped. I've also gotten good at understanding that life happens and not feeling guilty for treating. The trick is to not use the "treat" meal as a source of frustration to quit all together. Stop dat. I literally slept a total of 8 hours this whole weekend, worked on Saturday out of a different office, jam packed 2 nights of hanging out with friends, days on the go driving around the island and a triathlon all day Sunday. And I had nothing packed or prepped for food. I IG storied a lot of what I was doing but not what I was eating so here it is! Friday I had breakfast before I left & brought a protein bar as a snack. After my little gym sesh I hit up pita pit and got a double black bean patty salad loaded with veggies and protein, no pita and their guacamole + chipotle as dressing. I had more than a few drinks Friday night at the beach with my friends 🍻 Saturday I didn't eat much tbh, I was massively hungover and survived off iced coffee, water and deep fried pickles (I know). I did hangout with some friends late but brought some trail mix with me, they were drinking beers and eating chips and I decided to be the DD considering I drank enough Friday lol. Sunday I woke up and my dad had made protein pancakes fresh for me (fucken bless him seriously), and drank a ton of water and had fruit and little mini sandwiches at the race. Passed on the hot dogs and muffins they were offering. I ran the 5k with my mom & did a ton of running around as a volunteer (pictured above) And then guess what I did..... I ORDERED CHEESY BREAD YO. Which I'm currently eating while typing this (I typed this last night). So, as you can see, my diet was not perfect but it also wasn't bad! I had so much fun, didn't feel restricted by a diet in the slightest and don't feel guilty at all. #goals This caption turned out long a f and if you're still here congrats you poor poor soul. #flexibledieting#lifebalance
Hit legs with the OG squad & then enjoyed a lovely brunch😊 Today was my "cheat day" however I'm not going ALL out😅 I went with the vegetarian sausage breakfast sandwich topped with an egg, avo & onions w/ homefries & fruit on the side😋 I also walked the waterfront & had an ice cream cone (🍦 is life); time to eat chicken for those protons💪🏼 •I hope you all enjoyed this wonderful day; stay motivated❣️•
Excited to announce that our research "A 3-month exercise program improves fitness in Cystic Fibrosis patients regardless of starting fitness level" has been accept for presentation at the 2017 North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Indianapolis.
