"I couldn't think of a better gift for my husband to be on our wedding day, just to prove to him that the confidence he has in me, gave me confidence and I could give him my all." - Such gorgeous words form an inspirational mom and now wife. Check out her full testimonial soon on the blog. 💄 @ches_professional
We can't begin to explain how amazing this journey has been so far. It hasn't been long but it has been so fulfilling for the both of us. We're so happy to create a safe space for everyone we photograph. A place where you're free to be yourself, a place to embrace your sensuality. The feeling we have when we leave a shoot or when we hear from a happy client is indescribable. We absolutely love what we do!
Feeling vulnerable? Upset with your body? Wanting to just lose those extra 10 pounds before you buy the lingerie or book a session? Forget about it....you're beautiful right now. All those little "imperfections" are the unique details that make you beautiful...and we're here to showcase that.
You know when a woman sees a cute baby or a kid doing something really sweet, they sometimes think, “my womb-- It aches-- I need a baby!” Or something to that effect. I used to feel that way about babies. Sometimes I still do. But it’s not so much an aching desire as much as it was before I actually had a kid. Getting through it and knowing about it first hand, now for the most part I don't feel my womb aching as much... until I see another cute baby. Now and for sometime, I find myself feeling some type of way toward marrying, weddings, and forever. I see videography, and the vows, and the celebrating of endearment, and the dress, and the feelings, and the first looks-- and my heart aches for that! I try to deny it, but at the end of the day, I want that. Celebrations of love really just get me going. Is that too wrong of reasoning to want this? Maybe. Maybe a lot of people think those are not the right reasons. But it’s MY reasoning, and that counts for something. *posting this in hopes that the universe blesses me because I believe in stuff like that* Also if you feel so inclined to share, and if you're married or engaged, what made you really want that? Or even before you were, did you ever feel like I do?
One of my sisters lives in NYC. She texted me yesterday to say that she had just shouted at a homeless man. My response was, "But why?", as we truly try and respect all life. It was out of character for her.
She responded by saying that he wasn't actually homeless. She has been walking down the street and he had shouted, "Come sit on my face!". Normally she would have just felt uncomfortable and kept walking, but that day was different. She felt such rage boiling up within her body, so she turned around and shouted, "You NEVER talk to a woman like that. EVER. It is NOT okay." As he got aggressive and began to try and shout back, she stood her ground and repeated, "NO. That is NEVER EVER OKAY. Do NOT talk to me like that". He was so taken aback that he turned around and left.
She said that she felt liberated. To finally stand up for herself against all of the cat calling that women endure every single day.
It shouldn't have to be this way. Chels and I can both relate to all women, as we too have felt that sickness in our gut as a strange man says something sexual or inappropriate. So, sometimes it feels good to fight back.
Take care of yourself and be cautious. But don't give up. We're not, and we hope that our boudoir photos help to give other women hope that true empowerment is real, tangible, and beautiful.
"When at 15, my girlfriends started dropping out of their beloved sports teams, because they didn’t want to appear muscle-y, when at 18, my male friends were unable to express their feelings, I decided that I was a feminist." - Emma Watson
We honestly cannot stress enough how much we respect every single woman who works with us. There's absolutely no judgement, and we give our full hearts (and creative eye) to each and every lady. It's such a gift to be able to document women, so we really treat it as such 💕
Wanna feel foxy for your upcoming boudoir session? Go lingerie shopping! There's nothing sexier than finding that perfect lace body suit or those amazing scandalous undies. Whatever feels comfortable to you will look stunning in photos 💛
Take some time today to love the gals around you. Let's lift each other up. We're immersed in a culture where we judge, shame and compare ourselves to other ladies. We're all unique and completely beautiful in our own way. Let's embrace that and see the beauty in each other ✨
Love this outfit so much! I alwsys encourage one outfit to be a playful one like a tank or sweater or shirt style! So fun, flirty and still sexy.
It's our ultimate goal to help empower every single client that we have. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, enjoyable, and natural environment for our ladies. Please know that things you say can be kept private if you ask, we can keep your images from the eyes of the public, and we can absolutely just be ladies to talk to about any struggles you're having. It's all part of the process, and we really love our job.
"It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between mind and body that have decided to be whole." -rupi kaur⭐️
Always take time, every day, to love yourself. You are amazing🌙
We just wanted to take a moment to talk about this amazing lady behind @sweetdelilahfarm. She was gracious enough to let us use her flower farm yesterday, and she had TONS of flowers ready for us. To make it even more amazing, she helped make a flower crown, even though she's been sick for the past few weeks. ⠀
Chelsea, thank you so much for your kindness and selflessness. Please know that it is incredibly appreciated, and I know it's not just by us. We are very lucky to have connected with you. ⠀
Everyone!! Her farm is amazing. Please reach out to her if you want to volunteer this summer. (It would mean having your hands in dirt and being around tons of blooming flowers 🌺🌸🌷🌻🌼)!
this year has been one of reaching photographic ambitions so far. the images from this awesome euro urbex road trip to belgium and france will be all over my feed in the near future. here's @paulabroome kicking off this amazing lifestyle shoot in abandoned buildings.
Today I was at the gym and I smiled at a lady as I walked into the dressing room. She was adorable and had an incredibly kind face. I didn't think much more of it and I began to put my things in a locker. I noticed, however, that she had grabbed her clothes and gone into the bathroom stall to change. And this made me so sad. ⠀
I have been there. We know how it feels to be embarrassed of your body. But it's not right. She was so lovely and no one should ever feel that they need to hide their figure because of self judgement (or the judgement of others).⠀
We hope that we're contributing to a change, no matter how small. We want all of our clients, and all women, to feel comfortable with their figures. If you're modest, that's one thing. But if you're truly self conscious about the skin you're in, please know that you don't have to feel that way.
