This week we're inviting you into another world - wander through violet rainforests, slip through the seductive luxury of #silk and sink beneath rippling waves of raspberry-hued #bamboo . All at clothspot.co.uk - no hail or north wind we promise - we've turned the heat up!
The beauty of making your own clothes is that you can customise a pattern for your perfect style and fit. Even better, you can do it so cheaply in Singapore. For these shorts i paid $6 for the fabric and less than $1 for zip and button. #memade#isewmyownclothes#sewcialist#maritimeshorts#homemade
Morning! Heading out in my cardi made from various thrifted rib knit remnants. I have been enjoying reading all the fashion revolution posts this week and while I don't want to start sewing less (the horror!) I'm going to try to spread the sewing love a bit more, make the best with what I have and find uses for all those scrappy bits! Particularly inspired by the very thoughtful @theorlaproject and the multitalented @sewkaz with her beautiful children clothes made from recycled materials. Pattern is vintage Kwik Sew 504 from the 70s #sewing#stashbusting#isewmyownclothes#slowfashion#handmadeeveryday
You'll have to pardon my French so early in the morning, but Holy Sh*t I love this dress. I believe I have unlocked official @closetcase.patterns fan girl status with this make. It's perfect. In this fabric it's practical and cute, but that hemline makes it sassy and fun. Which is a fairly close representation of my actually personality. I also know the awesome namesake of this pattern, Kalle @stitchsewshop who is amazing, and contributes to my all around love for this dress. Seriously, go get this pattern and make yourself one. You won't regret it.
