Going for a run around the "lake" (aka sketchy storm water management pond) near my casita doesn't quite cut it after this view a few days ago. That being said, my kid just offered to "chase me so I run faster", so there's that bonus... 😑 #thanksbutnothanks
Mountain Forms, was painted by Group of Seven member Lawren Harris in 1926. Picturing the iconic rocky mountains, the famous canvas painting holds the distinction of being Canada's most valuable piece of art work ever sold, going for a cool 11.5 million in 2016 (9.5 million plus commissions). Harris was born in Brantford, ON in 1885. Often credited with starting the Group of Seven, in the 1920s Harris developed an unrivalled ability in his depiction of Canada's natural landscapes. He painted in 5 successive autumns in Algoma and Lake superior (1917-22), the rockies from 1924-1929, and in the Arctic in 1930.
