You are the definition of curiosity! You made me want more out of life, you made me understand what grit means, you have shown me what I was made of as a human and as a woman. Thank you mountains, nature, wild places! Where would I be if we had never found each other?!? #chooseadventure#happiness @altitudeseven @big_city_mountaineers

A little cemetery in the middle of nowhere. Graves here range from the mid-late 1800's to 2014. There is a lot of history is in this valley, times of hardship, prosperity, ruin and rebirth . It tells a story of settling the west, how the land changed and what changes might come. The valley was settled for a number or years and was the main route to get to Yellowstone National Park. Eventually it was abandoned during the 30's because it was to hard to make a living. Eventually cattle ranches appeared and a wildlife refuge in the 80s. 5 years ago the Taft-Nicholson Environmental Center opened which is run by various universities, mainly the University of Utah. The center is bringing students and faculty back in to nature and will hopefully be a leading influence in protecting our environment. "It is the secret of the world that all things subsist and do not die, but retire a little from sight and afterwards return again."
