Another fun option for a rehersal dinner is a comfortable setup on one of our many patios. Drinks and live music are a nice, added touch.

Repost from @ryanfloodphoto: On June 23, 1946, Vancouver Island was the site of Canada’s largest onshore earthquake. The quake was felt as far away as Portland, Oregon, and triggered numerous landslides across Vancouver Island and the mainland. Frightened citizens ran into the streets as 75% of the chimneys in nearby communities collapsed. Shortly after, new seismometers were installed in Victoria by the Geological Survey of Canada to better study and prepare for impending earthquakes on Canada’s west coast. --- To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the History Committee of the GSC is sharing stories of Canadian geology. Repost from @mssleatherpants: The promenade in front of the Château Frontenac is an ideal location to spot “Logan’s Fault.” Named after @WilliamELogan, the founder and first director of the Geological Survey of Canada, the fault marks the boundary between the St. Lawrence Lowlands and the Appalachian mountain belt. Despite the name, Logan was not responsible for this particular geologic divide. --- To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the History Committee of the GSC is sharing stories of Canadian geology. Repost from @discover_churchill: Churchill is one of many areas in northern Manitoba that Canadian geologist @JosephBurrTyrrell explored in the late 1800s, working for the Geological Survey of Canada for a salary of $500 a year (approximately $11,312.17 in 2017). He completed one trek of nearly 1,000 km to Winnipeg on snowshoes. We suspect the polar bears helped motivate him. --- To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the History Committee of the GSC is sharing stories of Canadian geology. I'm not feeling well, but it's not physically....It's mentally and spiritually. Physically, thanks to my at-home plans, I'm feeling leaner, stronger, more powerful than ever.... But, mentally, not so much. So, you're looking at today's workout. ⠀ ⠀
I didn't even want to write this post for fear of all those I'd be letting down by not posting a workout video today. Because I know how much it helps so many of you amazing people feel inspired/motivated to get a workout in for yourselves. ⠀
There are lots of changes going on and there's literally no one harder on me than I am on myself.⠀
But, my soul and emotions need rest. And, fear of being vulnerable is such bullshit. ⠀
I got asked some pretty hard questions today to come to the conclusion that sharing this is important and honest. ⠀
I like being the one to ask the questions more than having to crack my guarded heart wipe open and acknowledge there's an ache there. ⠀
So, I hope this acts as some inspiration for you to get a workout in -- but this time, a workout in compassion. In listening to your heart and mind. In self-love. In slowing down. In knowing this growing pain is part of the process. And in remembering to take care of yourself in more ways than just the physician vessel you operate in. Mind, emotions, spirit, body.. They all matter on a health and fitness journey.
