After 30-40mins hike, picking up/trowing out countless pebbles and crossing 5 goats chillling by the cliff, we discovered the natural pools by the locally called the "washing machine". We stared for while the magnificent view then looked down to figure out how to climb down these giants multicolor rocks that surrounded the 2 natural pools.
I made it first and just like Tom Sawyer, (the cartoon character ,👋🏼hi my 80's ppl) would do, I took my cloth off and rushed to get into the water!! However, It took me 1 second to jumped right back to my tennis shoes! Little I knew the creases of the rocks that give them that amazing texture, were sharp edges that hurt with every single attempted step! Despite the pain and the totally un-sexy manner, I was able to I get closer to the water. It looked fresh, clear, sparkling even...so pure! 💙
I slowly put my feet into the water until the powdery white sand kissed them. - Aaaw!
It felt like an open invitation so I finally I took a plunge! ...and naturally, I smiled.
Hiking is not in the top of the list while in St. Barths. We consciously left the recommended to-do list at home as it sounded like a shortcut to a destination while missing the unknown- fun fact of the adventure 💭🤷🏼♀️
Moral: Follow your passion and feel the joy of writing a list of your own, or a lil story perhaps ;) #cestlavie .
