Once upon a time our mutual friend Adam said to us "Jude. You need to know Jo. You have too much in common". - and we do and now the clever little artist just rustled up Sketch Face Me. If you have a brain you will love her and her work. Go see @joelizaharrison - proud illustrator of Laura Bates' book 'GIRL UP', pen trollop & mascara smudger (extraordinaire)
THANK YOU JO I LOVE PENCIL JUDE & YOU! ❤️😘❤️ #drawing#illustration#pencil#feminist#womenpower#sketch#art#artist
You think success happens by accident? Hell nah lol. Look at your favorite celebs - Beyoncé....works her ass off (you may not like her music, but there's no denying she WORKS). Oprah....same. Johnny Depp....same lol. The only exception to this rule might be the Kardashians (no shade....or is it..? 🤔😏) .
Lmao! Point is - work for what you want. Grind every day....because you never know when your time is coming. Better be prepared when it does 😉

I couldn't resist and had to buy these Wonder Woman stamps today!
"The stamps depict Wonder Woman’s comics appearance over four eras: the Golden Age (1941–55), as realized by creator William Moulton Marston, in which she dons a star-spangled skirt; the Silver Age (1956–72), with her golden lasso of truth in hand; the Bronze Age (1973–86), holding her fist high and wearing her bullet-deflecting bracelets; and the Modern Age (1987–present), in which she wields a hammer".
Being a #maltachallenger means trying #absailing whilst overlooking the sea. It means realising I'm not as clumsy as I thought. It means looking down and freak out at the sight of deep waters. It means looking up again and reaching the top nevertheless. It means discovering that the best views are on the other side of your fears.
•• Confidence is not -->They will like me... Confidence is: I'll be FINE if they don't.•• Know that you are beautiful in your own way. If makeup makes you happy, wear it. If buying new clothes makes you happy, do it. If you need more confidence, READ PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT & find a group of women to surround yourself with. Get so wrapped up in being happy, creating a life of fulfillment, & making it a point to have lots of love/laughter daily.
Since I've found those things, my negative thoughts turn around so quickly. I'm able to lean on others when I feel alone. I'm here to tell you that if you need me, I'm here. I can give you those things and extra cash in your pocket, if you let me.
Just know... Whether you join my team or not, YOU MATTER. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL & Lipstick/Makeup makes everything better.

Here are my thoughts on being a doula that has had two cesarean sections. Most women I know that preach natural birth and are birth workers have had a natural birth. I have been asked by a few people in recent weeks if I felt weird about being a birth worker not having experienced that life changing vaginal birth. The simple answer is no. Not in any way do I feel less experienced or educated. I chose to get my daughter cut out of my belly with a planned c-section. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life but my mother wasn't supposed to live through the day and she wanted to meet her before taking her last breath. That c-section taught me how brave I actually am. I lied there with tears running down my face knowing my daughter was going to get held by my mother like I had done as a child. With my son I labored for 24 hours with no medication but was told a possible uterine rupture was a fear and their hospital regulations prevented me from continuing as a VBAC. At 42 weeks I had my second section. I don't have regrets. I am not having more children and absolutely love everything about birth. My personal opinion is I can offer a mother many things. I am very educated on natural birth and if that mother chooses the c section I can be the most supportive woman on earth. I know how your birth plan can change. With both of mine I wished for natural. It did change but today I have two healthy beautiful children. Life is compiled of unexpected and unplanned events. It's having a positive attitude towards those experiences that can alter a mind. When I see a challenge I find a way to flip it and make myself see it as an advantage.✨
